Our mother Carmelita “Carmie” Sams was diagnosed with Sarcoma Cancer December 3, 2013. Who knew just 3 weeks later we would lose her.

Sarcoma is a very rare and uncommon group of cancers which arise in the bones, and connective tissue such as fat and muscle. Stages 1-3 are curable, stage 4 is rarely curable.

Our mother was an avid cyclist, bike mechanic by profession, Mother of 4, and Grandmother of 4.
